FAQs

Where do you operate?

1

For now, I am going to client’s houses, but I am working hard to build a small literacy studio in my MidCity home. You can expect that the home studio will be where sessions take place by the end of the summer.

Do you teach group classes?

2

I would love to do group classes! If you have a group of students in mind or you just want to float an idea for a group class by me, shoot me an email. I’m happy to discuss what that would look like.

What session length should we choose and how often should our child see you?

3

Session length depends most importantly on the needs of the student. My recommendation is one hour as it allows students time to build rapport and digest information that we dive deeply into. However, some students, especially younger ones, may benefit from shorter sessions because of their developing attention span.

Most families choose a once a week schedule, however, if your child has large skills gaps that we are trying to fill in a short amount of time, I would recommend two sessions a week even if they are shorter.

I’d love to work with you, but you’re out of my price range.

Heard and understood. Reach out anyway. I may not have capacity in that moment, but it’s important to me to keep a couple slots open for families in positions of need, and I’m always happy to do a trade. We have to take care of each other.
